Agrobics has constructed a laboratory pilot plant, and proof of concept has been demonstrated. When processing olive mill wastewater with removal of 85-95% of the organic matter, an organic loading rate of 50 COD g/l/day has been attained, compared to 15 g/l/day of other known methods.

Agrobics has tested a variety of effluents from agriculture and industry to optimize parameters for best results.

Agrobics is succesfully operating an industrial-scale pilot plant in an olive oil mill in Iksal.  A second pilot plant is designed that will operate in a large citrus processing facility.

A joint-venture agreement has been signed with EPT, an Israeli engineering company that specializes in wastewater treatment.
